چکیده

Field pea (Pisum sativum L) crop was conducted at the Agricultural Research Farm of B. H. U. Varanasi, during rabi season 2010-11. The experiment in randomized block design (RBD) with 10 weed control treatments viz., pendimethalin 1.0 kg ha-1 (PE), (PE) + imazethapyr 75 g (PoE), quizalofop- ethyl 60 50 chlorimuron- 4 (PPI), 1kg (PoE) and free (HW 30 DAS) were compared weedy check two irrigation given to critical stages growth. soil experimental field application recommended dose fertilizer time sowing sandy clay loam texture, slightly alkaline reaction (pH 7.8). variety HUDP-15 sown row spacing cm apart on 11 November 2010. observation density dry matter accumulations recorded 30, 90 DAS. Weed efficiency calculated maximum weight stage (60 Among herbicidal treatments, sequential proved be most effective reducing weight. It also lower index. Observation plant height, yield attributes pods plant-1, grains pod-1, seed index (100-grain weight), grain straw yield. growth, attribute, yield, treated plot followed by (PoE).

Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Growth Mutants

This review is devoted to the Pisum sativum L. growth mutants. These mutants are presented by several groups of plants. The first group is characterized by short internodes (dwarf mutants le, na, lk, la, lh, ls) or by elongated internodes (slender mutant sln). The stem growth of mutants of both types (dwarf and slender) is controlled by hormones (GA and IAA) in the stem or in seeds. Mutants cha...

Role of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment

The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...

The Yield and Yield Components of Pea (pisum Sativum L.) as Influenced by Salicylic Acid

The effects of 0 M, 10 M and 10 M salicylic acid (SA) applied by three different modes (seed treatment, seed treatment plus foliar spray and foliar spray) in four pea (Pisum sativum L.) varieties viz., Meteor, Climax, Greenfeast and Rondo were evaluated. Among the varieties the highest green pod yield of 5255 Kg ha was obtained in variety Meteor followed by variety Greenfeast (4452 Kg ha). The ...

Properties of an Aminotransferase of Pea (Pisum sativum L.).

A transaminase (aminotransferase, EC 2.6.1) fraction was partially purified from shoot tips of pea (Pisum sativum L. cv. Alaska) seedlings. With alpha-ketoglutarate as co-substrate, the enzyme transaminated the following aromatic amino acids: d,l-tryptophan, d,l-tyrosine, and d,l-phenylalanine, as well as the following aliphatic amino acids: d,l-alanine, d,l-methionine, and d,l-leucine. Of othe...
